    It is listed as a GAR picture, but it looks like a model 42 musket or a 61 springfield. At first glance the coat looked like a 5 button Wisconsin sack coat, but he has shoulder scales on. What do you all make of this?

    The image is kind of hard to make out, but I think the musket is a 1816, 1842 or maybe an import smoothbore. Im leaning towards the 1816.
