Neat link. I wish they were indexed and offered a little more description, but so glad there is more access to these than before.

The link supplied is designed to crowd source the transcription of the Civil War collections of the University of Iowa Libraries. For the main site, with diaries and letters indexed by year and author, please follow this link: http://digital.lib.uiowa.edu/cwd/

The University has a broad collection of Federal diaries, inclusive of the Eastern, Western and Trans-Mississippi theaters, as well as two diaries from California soldiers. This is an outstanding resource for primary research.
