I reenact with the 69th PVI co. A in California and have taken interest in companies I and K (Baker's zouaves) of the same unit. While I have found uniform descriptions, I have yet to find any hard evidence of what these specific companies were issued (it seems as though the two companies might have even had variation between them). I have also found some photos of men in differnet companies of the 69th wearing the zouave uniform (why would this be?). I hope to gain enough info to put together an accurate portrayal of these zouaves. If anyone knows of any accounts of these companies or anyone who has portrayed them, information would be greatly appreciated.
