  • Looking to accurately portray a member of the 10th US Inf. at Antietam

I am looking to accurately portray a member of Company I, 10th US Inf. at Antietam, but I have no real idea of where I would look for the equipment lists and other necessary knowledge. I have googled for it of course but information on the Regulars is very hard to find. Some help would be appreciated.

I know this might be frowned upon around here. But since this is the Regular Army early in the war, my guess is that the uniforms will not stray far from the 1858/61 regulations and I suspect that they would still have carried 1855 Springfield rifles.
You should not take my word as fact. The best information would be finding the ordinance return and the quartermaster return of that quarter and photographs of that time. But for the want of information the regulations would be would what I would fall back on.
