Many enjoy a warm stack of fluffy pancakes covered in syrup! In this episode, we share two veterans’ accounts, one confederate and one union. They describe making pancakes, or as they called them, slapjacks or flapjacks. These might be a bit different than what you might enjoy today since soldiers often had limited ingredients!
