Notes: Event features the creation of a campaigner battalion of the 15th Texas Infantry, Polignac's Brigade, Mouton's Division, Taylor's Army of West Louisiana during the Red River campaign. Specific purpose will be to raise significant funds to increase awareness of the greatly endangered status of the battlefield and to ultimately protect the remaining acreage. To that end, we will conduct a preservation march along the route taken by the Confederate army from the battlefield at Mansfield to Pleasant Hill, a distance of 15 miles. Various preservation fund raising methods will be used both before and during the event.
