  • Sequoyah (Alabama) Event in June 2004

    Gentlemen,

    Carnes/Waters Battery and Sequoyah Caverns are hosting the 1st annual Battle at Longs' Spring--McCook's Advance on Chickamauga on June 11, 12, and 13, 2004.

    This event will be held on the grounds of beautiful Sequoyah Caverns in Northeast Alabama.

    The DeKalb Rifles Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans will also be having a fund raiser for a confederate veterans monument honoring the brave men who fought from DeKalb County Alabama during this time.

    There will be:

    Excellent camps--Garrison, Campaign, Family, Modern/RV camps (water, electricity)

    Period Ball Saturday night (inside the cave--the "Ballroom")

    There will be a bounty paid for the first 6 full size artillery units.

    Registration fee $5.00 for reenactors and $30.00 for the sutlers.

    Sequoyah Caverns has a swimming pool, shower facilities, and laundry facilities. The campground covers over 1100 acres.
