We've received several enquiries offline on when registration for this event will begin. We expect to open it on 1 September. We'll be taking registrations by mail, and while we are happy to receive individual mailings, we encourage units and/or messes to collect 1) completed registration forms, 2) postal money orders for the fee, as well as 3) copies of DL's and 4) proof of insurance and send them in all at once to help ensure they make it in as a group. We also expect to stand-up the website around 1 Sep.

As you may have read here, we must cap this event at 80 participants. Registration fee will be $35.00 which includes rations and other consumables as well as a preservation contribution. We will publish complete event financials immediately following the event.

Also of interest, the officers are David Chinnis (PLHA), commanding, Patrick Craddock (WIG) lieutenant, and the orderly/first sergeant is Brian Hicks (WIG). We are coordinating now to fill the remaining NCO positions.

If you plan to attend, plan now to arrive in Charleston fairly early on Friday, 17 February. We'll need to have everyone ashore on Morris Island with at least two hours of daylight left (ideally three) so Mr Blake Hallman of the Morris Island Coalition has time to conduct a walking tour of the island for those interested, including the extant earthworks. At the conclusion of which, we'll go "immersive." Feel free to contact me off-line (or PM) if you have any questions.

More to follow. Enjoy the Dog Days of Summer!

Is the registration up? The link is not working, just wondering if it's my comp or if it hasn't yet been added?

      Many thanks

Joe's working on that little SNAFU. In the meantime, if you'll drop him an e-mail, he can send you the form as an e-mail attachment (Word document)

        Sorry for the hassle,

A really nice shot of Sumter as viewed from the north end of Morris Island, the site of our Friday night camp.
