    Gentlemen

    I wanted to share some information about the Confederate infantry companies, from the 12th Virginia, we are portraying at the Crampton's gap event in Wisconsin this July. The following list is of the occupations of the men in Companies A and C that were at the Battle of Crampton's Gap. All of these men lived within 1 square mile of each other before the war. These men had wealth and education yet still enlisted as pvts. in the confederate service.
