Vicksburg: 150th Anniversary of Williams Canal (Grant's Canal) (June 9-10, 2012)

On the weekend of June 9 and 10, 2012, Vicksburg National Military Park will host an event on the site of Grant's Canal on the western side of the Mississippi River from Vicksburg. We are looking for groups and/or individual living historians with impressions, skill demonstrations, presentations relating to the construction of a canal. Anyone from ditch diggers to doctors to engineers are welcome to contact us with propoals for this low impact weekend event.
