I just wanted to thank the folks at the Hermitage museum for providing an excellent opportunity to participate in this past weekend's living history recreating the visit of Forrest's men to the tomb of Andrew Jackson. Myer's Brown brought together an excellent group of CS cavalry troopers of which I was privileged to be one. The staff at the museum took great care of the participants to the point where I believe everyone agreed this was one of the best LH events ever experienced. Myer's proved himself one of the most capable interpreters I have ever seen and even presided over a period church service Sunday morning that roused repentance from even the greatest sinners in the audience. It was a treat to meet some of our western cousins finally and I think went a long way towards creating a greater bond and appreciation of the strengths of both armies.
Thanks again Myers for doing this.
