Headgear:

** Absolutely NO Columbus Depot Jackets
Shirt:
Civilian Shirt

Civilian Socks of 19th Century Pattern
Confederate issue cotton socks
Braces:
19th Century Pattern Suspenders
Period Waist Belt
Boot:
Brogan
Army Boots
Civilian Boots
Field Gear:
Cartridge Box and Cap Box (may be Magee & George, or older Federal variants)
Two Rivet or Sewn Gaylord Scabbard
Belt (may have forked toungue, Georgia frame, civilian roller, clipped corner militia, or oval CS buckle)
Haversack (tarred or untarred Confederate pattern)
Canteen (CS pattern drum, wood, or 1858 Federal pattern)
Mexican War pattern knapsack or blanket roll
Confederate issue Blanket, Civilian Blanket, or Coverlet
Gum Blanket or rubberized poncho
Extra Shirt, Socks, Personal Items of period documentation
Tent flies or Type 2 shelter half (highly discouraged)
Weapons:
1853 Enfield (rifle-musket, rifle, or musketoon are all acceptable)
1842 Springfield
Civilian shotgun
Import Smoothbore Muskets of .69 or .70
** To add to this, be mindful, according to official reports, the Confederates engaged at Morning Sun were cavalry from either Thompson's, Jackson's, or Forrest's commands (can't find anything more concrete than that).
With that in mind, two band rifles (NOT Zouave rifle), a small number of carbine/musketoons, and pistols will be allowed (absolutely no more than ONE (1) pistol per man, and even then, less than half should have them)
A mix of some cavalry accoutrements is also encouraged. Sabers carried by officers only.

if anyone would like to raises CS company for this event, I highly encourage it. Companies should be 25 men or more, so bear that in mind. Thanks.
