I am going to do everything within my power to be there next year. Just don't give Tipton a map if you send us out on patrol. Looks like there are a lot of lakes around there.

You'd better get that thing repaired so we can boast about visiting strange locales such as "Okefenokee Swamp" and "Sierra Nevadas"

Would they have been armed with the 1865 conversion muskets? The .58 rinfires I mean. Doubtful they'd have the .50-70 1866 rifles yet

The returns show that most men were caring .58 rifles. The 10th US was supplied at Fort Snelling before beginning there travels west.
There was Carbines at Fort Wadsworth but the Quartermaster mentions that they where not fit to be use.

Just got some photo's of the 10th at Fort Wadsworth and I am hoping to post them soon. Also still researching the records. More info to come.....

                        Hello Everyone.
Had a walk through of the event site on Wednesday (June 29). Great site and if you ever wanted to experience life as a soldier on the frontier this will be the event to attend!
Please follow the link below for important event information, roles and guidelines.
At this time we have 2 companies that have been taken. We have room for 4 total.
We are looking for Laundresses for the companies. We hope to get 2 per company.

I'm extremely interested, about a 14 our drive from Oklahoma and a great Frontier event opportunity.

I will most likely be attending! Just out of curiosity, is this event open to civilian impressions? Like contract labor etc.?

Civilian roles will be limited. Most of them will be Laundresses for the companies that we will have. We will have a list of civilian roles that will be available in the not so far distance future.
