As you look for events for the coming year, 2018, we cordially invite you to attend and participate at the National Eastern Federal School of the Soldier, Encampment and Fundraiser for Old Bedford Village being held on Labor Day Weekend 2018.
We invite you to join us for a weekend of interpretive living history as we recreate the raising of Bedford County's Co's D, E & F of the 138th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry.
This event will feature a recruiting and training camp using the U.S. Army Regulations of 1861 featuring drill and classes from expert instructors. Soldier's meals will be provided.
Our Mission is Threefold:
1. To raise money for the Village.
2. To foster co-operation and comradeship between individuals from different re-enacting units.
3. To educate and sharpen skills of both new and veteran reenactors.
