A remember reading a professor or Dr. of history was trying to obtain copies of veterans records to those who were admitted into asylums after the war from some New England state (can't recall which one). He was going to look into the number of cases that were psychological in nature due to PTSD. He was fighting it in court for access of the records. Does anyone else remember this/know if he ever started his project?
