Very nice "New York Times" article about the fantastic 1848 images of the Cincinnati waterfront. This comes complete with a nice interactive feature.

P.S. Small factoid: the article asserts the photographs were made "on a Sunday in September" of 1848. In September 1848, the Sundays fell on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th of the month.
