Re: CW Reenactors down?
I hung out with Bob Szabo this past weekend (as I do most weekends)... He is the owner but not the runner of the CW Reenactors forum. The computer where he houses that forum and a host of other sites fried the other day. He and his computer friend who hosts the server are working on getting all of them back up with new hardware...Sit tight, the site may be down as long as another week while Szabo tries to rebuild the entire site. The good news is the site has been backed up everyday for the past year or so, so all the information will still be there, the site just needs to be rebuilt. Hope this helps!

I dig Al Gore's little invention too, but only a fraction of primary source material is actually on the internet. How many of us remember microfilm and archival reading rooms?
I wish them luck on getting up the CW Forum

I'm a much happier administrator when that site is tooling along just fine, and I'm sure the mods here will agree with me. I'm also pretty sure they'd same about us.
Lets leave it at that. As I've said before, if there's anything I can do to assist them with their software, etc... I'm glad to lend a hand. And we're certainly glad to lend our forum to getting news out about their downtimes, etc.

Yes the CW Reenactors forum has always been down, even when it was online. Down on history, down on authenticity, down on quality events. I have no clue as to why you miss it.

Hallo!
:)
Didn't that come out after face-to-face verbal communication, ink on paper, or was that non face-to-face communication via large hand-held things with a heavy wire anchoring them to a box or wall outlet?

What would happen if the A/C,Common Ground, and the CW forum all went down?

Re: CW Reenactors down?
O yeah! I go there on a regular basis too. Let me rephase it. What would happen if the A/C,Common Ground, and the CW forum all went down? That would be a catastrophe. I wouldn't have a reason to even be on the computer.
Ken,Let me say that you do a good job on the Common Ground. It is still new to me. I appreciate Common Ground and how it is set up. I have noticed that all of the forums are set up just a little differant and,I might add, each has its own style and postsLast edited by Parault; 01-20-2008, 07:28 PM.

What would happen if both A/C and CW forums go down at the same time? O! the humanity
Well, there is always the Western Campaigner and The Common Ground.
