  • Wage position at Mansfield State Historic Site

The Mansfield State Historic Site, located outside of Mansfield, Louisiana, is now in search of a wage employee.

Mansfield was the first major battle of the Red River Campaign of 1864 and was the last major Confederate victory in the Trans-Mississippi. The position is a wage position; i.e. hourly, rather than salary. However, there is the potential to move from a wage employee to a full-time Interpreter Ranger.

Mansfield State Historic Site is looking for some one with knowledge on the Red River Campaign, who also is handy with a needle and thread. The position that is being replaced is for some one who will be able to research and reproduce historically correct uniforms and clothing for the interpreter programs.

Rate of pay will be based upon your skills and abilities, along with knowlede and previous experience. Rate of pay will not go over $10.00 an hour. There are no benifits with this position; i.e. health, dental, sick leave, etc.

To apply for this job, or for further information, contact the Mansfield State Historic Site Manger, Steve Bounds, at (318) 872-1474.
