The Tennessee Civil War Preservation Association is holding its annual fundraising event on September 19th at the Bicentennial Mall from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. "Campfires on the Cumberland" will feature a dinner and speaker Jim Lighthizer, President of the Civil War Trust. The event will also have period music and a variety of reenactor and interpretive programs.
TCWPA Board members Phil Walker and Phil Thomason are sponsoring tables at the event and invite interested TPT members to join them. Tickets are $100 and all proceeds will go to support the TCWPA and battlefield preservation. Last year the organization provided grants for the acquisition of property at the Davis Bridge Battlefield near Bolivar, the Franklin Battlefield, and the Nashville Battlefield site of Shy's Hill.
