  • Silk and Wool Housewives

    Three silk and wool housewives await the embroidery of your initials.



    1. Black and red silk pockets with red wool needle flaps edged in black silk. Lined with black silk, and covered in gray, red, and black wool. Two are available.



    2. Burgundy, green, navy, and gold silk and navy wool needle flaps edged in burgundy silk and covered in fine navy wool. One is available.




    Stocked with
    • lump of raw beeswax wrapped in linen
    • paper backed tin and bone buttons in handsewn poke sack
    • patch fabric –FHW jean cloth, C. Childs satinette, FHW satinette, FHW wool flannel
    • needles
    • thread wrapped on cloth - non-mercerized black, brown, tan, blue, and off-white cotton thread
    • reproduction postage stamps on 100% rag paper
    • hanks of hemp twine in two sizes
    • wooden dice
    • tin of matches
    • tracts
    • handsewn poke sack in which to carry it all
