  • Frazer Bothers ground cloth

Hi Fellows, does anybody of you have one of Farzer brothers oil cloth ground cloths.
I wonder about its quality and authenticity.

    Jan,
Are you referring to FRAZER BROTHERS out of Dallas, TX?:

If so, this is very much a sutler row "farb" vendor and not up to Authentic Campaigner standards. Banish the thought my friend.

Yes I mean him, I know that his uniforms and leather are farb but some of his tinware is good. And he is the only one so far that is offereing a ground cloth with grommets similar to the one pictured in EoG!
All other oil groind cloths were without grommets as far as I know.

          Hi Jan,
I used to live right near their little retail store off of North Central Expressway in Dallas and am familiar with both Gail and their "wares" first hand. I stand by my caveat.;)

              Hi Jan,

Go to the website and look under covers. Think you will find what you want.

You may also want to check with Don Smith of Trans-Mississippi Depot. I know he was producing authentic ground cloths and has done a great deal of research on painted cloth items of the period.
