  • The Graceful Lady

Back in the fall, I had occassion to custom order a special hair net for a lovely young women from Anna Allen's The Graceful Lady.

At the time, I knew the request was a daunting one, given the unusal color choice and the striking coloring of the receipient. When I received it, the net was a stunning creation, and I was jealous that it was not mine---even though I knew full and well that I would look like mutton tricked out as lamb in such a confection.

Last weekend, I delivered the net--a red ribbon hair net for a striking young red head. Certainly a difficult color combination to pull off correctly, and Anna did a marvelous job in shade choice, construction, and in capturing the proper effect for the age of the receipient.

Anna's pleated men's shirts are also superior to most that I have seen reproduced in recent years! I think they're sold exclusively through Carter & Jasper (Chris Utley).
