  • 100th Illinois Volunteer Infantry

    Looking for unit relative infomation regading the actions of the 1ooth at the Battle of Franklin, TN. (30NOV1864) Have already referenced the following resources;

    "Cause and Country" by Eric Jacobson
    "Five Tragic Hours" by McDonough & Connelly
    "Eyewitnesses at the Battle of Franklin" edited and compiled by David Logsdon
    "History of the One Hundreth; or Will County Regiment" by Geo. H. Woodruff

    Also have extensively searched online resources relative to what the State of Illinois has available and the National Archives. And yes, I've checked Dyer's and the USMHI.

    Also, if anyone out there has a ancestor that fought with the 100th, I'd like to hear from you. All direction and advice appreicated.

    Cheers!
