    The Arts section of The Kansas City Star today announced the arrival of Dr. Silvana Siddali's second book entitled "Missouri's War: The Civil War in Documents" (Ohio University Press).

      Wow. You can throw a teacup pretty well along with writing... you are very talented, Ms. Silvana. :D

      Y'know... Missouri is a very fascinating microcosm regarding the WBTS. It basically had its own civil war going-on even before the official fighiting began elsewhere.

      I know Ms. Silvana is an expert in her field from her numerous wrightings on this forum that I've seen. The book should be great. I'd like to read it.

      Huzzah- the living history community is stronger for it!

        Uh..that would be Dr. Silvana. She received her phd from Harvard.

          Just ordered a copy, met Dr Siddali briefly near a pickle jar at 'Bummers' would like to get out that way for an event and am interested in and researching a civilian impression.There are some very educated ,talented people on this forum.

                Thank you for all the kind words and support. I really appreciate that. If ever have a chance to look at the acknowledgments page of the book you will see a lot of familiar names. Good friends helped me considerably with the project through all the stages of the process. Thanks again.
