  • 58th NYVI "The Polish Legion"

I am doing some research on the 58th New York Volunteer Infantry, also known as "The Fighting Polish Legion." My ultimate goal is to form a 58th NYVI impression. This unit is very hard to find information on, seems to be a forgotten unit. Any information you can put forward would be great - history, pictures, equipment/quartermaster records, battles fought in, etc... If you know of any books or other sources that deals with this unit. Any help or information would be great.
    Thanks,
    Bryan.
