  • Book: U.S. Army Sutler, 1861-1865 by Tobey & Ellis

My copy of U.S. Army Sutler, 1861-1865 arrived today. The authors are Nicolas Ellis and John Tobey of Columbia Rifles Research Compendium fame. This one looks like a winner and I look forward to reading.
Copies can be obtained via their website called Federal Contract Reproductions at http://fcreproductions.com and they even have a Facebook page.

    Mark,

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you enjoy it and I will pass on what you said to John.

Big John Tobey fan from The Watchdog and CRRC-2 days. Is the link above still good? I could not find it on amazon or barnes & noble either.

I just tried this link with NO success. Try Tim Sheads at his store.

Reviving this thread to say that I came across a few copies of this book on eBay at http://www.ebay.com/itm/171709205123 for below the cover price. I picked one up and it's a great resource!

This book is one of several I've acquired in researching for my sutler tent impression.
