  • Great Pic - Two Pards in Dress Hats

While there is nothing mysterious about this photograph, it remains one of my favorites. It was purchased for me as a gift in a flee market in Rochester, Minnesota. I speculate that the soliders are from the Midwest, but have nothing to back this up. In any case, it is the pose that I love.

    Enjoy.

    Tad,

THat looks suspiciously like a "3" inside of the horn on the fellow on the right. THough, I'll readily admit my picture program is second rate... 3rd MN? They were initially issued Hardee Hats & Frocks and some at least stil had their Hardees when they mustered out in 65. If they're 3rd I'd guess pre surrender to Forrest & pre Sioux Uprising.

Just conjecture but it's an educated guess.

Anybody out there have a better pic program to blow up that numeral in the right hand hat?
