  • Nunzio Finelli cook for the 114th PA Co A

This is an image of Nunzio Finelli who served with the Independant Co A with General Banks before it became the 114th Regiment Collis's Zouaves. His decendant is claiming it's an enlistment image, but of course it's not a 114th uniform. I think it's post war, but he was supposedly wounded on this side of his face. He joined numerous patriotic organizations as well as the Masons, Red Cross and others. I'm wondering what the pin could be?

Definitely a post-war cabinet photo. Which side of the face was he wounded on? The photo shows him in profile...a somewhat unusual pose. Perhaps he is hiding scars on the other side?
No idea what the pin is, sorry.

There appears to be crossed rifles, possibly a state or local shooting badge?
