  • Cadet Grey Broadcloth

I would like to get a Confederate Frock Coat of blue-grey (Cadet-grey), English imported broadcloth done. Sadly, I do not know which dealer provides the most authentic fabric. Many fabric samples have too many blue shades. I have samples of the following cloth:

    - Renaissance Fabrics (Cadet Blue)
    - Wm. Booth, Draper (Mixed Blue)
    - The Historical Fabric Store (Military Grey Blue)
    - Richmond Depot (Cadet Grey)

Maybe there are some other options I did not take into consideration.

    Thank you in advance

I am working on a similar project but for a shell jacket. I have some mixed blue fabric from Wm Booth Draper and agree with your assessment that it's too blue. I have seen multiple recommendations for Kersey – Kochan and Phillips Historical Textiles and their "tait blue-grey kersey". I think I'm going to give them a try.

    Good luck with your project.
