North carolina troops with 1816 conversion

[Austinkirkland95]

Something I have been resourcing is how many of the North Carolina troops were issued 1816 conversions at the beginning of the war it really seamed common to see them in the nc units why do you think that is so. What arsenal were they coming from or do you think it was leftovers from militia units across the state.
