  • Button Shank Repair

Hello, I was hoping someone could give me advice as to how to go about getting a shank replaced on an original button? I don't have any soldering skills or equipment.
    Thank you!

    Do you have the Shank?
There is a guy named Leonard Short who restores relics. I have seen his work and its good. He can be contacted at the following address.

Thank you, sir! I will contact him. No, I don't have the shank, I was just going to sacrifice an extra repro button's shank.

          Re: Button Shank Repair

Sorry, just saw this. It's a D. Evans Attleboro Mass backmark. Artillery A. I'm having a 4 button CS sack coat made, and I have 4 of these buttons. One being damaged, obviously. They go for upwards of $50 a piece. Hence the need to fix the damaged one and not buy a new one.
          Thanks again.
