  • 2nd wind...

I started reenacting 30 years ago while in the Marine Corps. I left some years back as I was retiring from military life. I went to a Civil War event this last weekend as a 55 year old. I ran into a former 30 something Marine with a great setup. He was showing me his great ************ sack coat and I was telling him how I would love to come back but felt I was to old. He introduced me to the folks in his unit and I was surprised at the age difference within reenacting. He gave me their contact information and I am looking at coming back. I still have my M1861 Springfield and some leather but have to get a new uniform. The ************ sack coat looks like a given and my old kepi needs to turn into a forage cap. I guess I am back.
