In this episode, we take a look at and instruct how to perform Reverse Arms. This position of the musket during the Civil War was used during funeral processions. There are questions today, and there was then, on how a soldier performed Reverse Arms. Details can be found in primary sources including the Regulations, Gilham’s Drill Manual, and the Army and Navy Journal during the time. Reverse Arms was a position that a soldier was expected to march with, according to the Regulations, for Funeral escorts. Let’s see how it can be done!
