Cincinnati Depot?

Did the Cincinnati Depot mostly supply to the Western theater? I was on a sutler's website and they mentioned their canteen patterned after a Cincinnati Depot model was issued to soldiers throughout the western theater. What would be appropriate for an Eastern impression?

Never say never, but I would guess that the New York Depot or Philadelphia Depot would supply mostly eastern theater. No need to ship far east to far west, but anything is possible.

I would go with a New York depot, but in all honesty, most guys wouldn't be able to tell the difference 3 feet away, let alone 30 feet. As long as it's properly worn (not dangling all over, but there were examples of soldiers not shortening their strap), I think you'll be in the clear. The Cincinnati depot had a rolled tin spout if I recall correctly, but it's not something I would lose sleep over.
