  • Scabbard for sword bayonet, who makes?

    Hello,

Need a scabbard and frog for my 2-band enfield sword bayonet.

Anybody knows who makes them? Or is there anybody selling them?

    Thanks in advance,

    Eric

That little search button up top will help. There was a thread devoted to this line of thought not that long ago.

Barring that, I would recommend contacting a known, reputable leather worker (eg, Don Smith, Tim Welch, Butch Meyers, Bob Serio) and setting the proposition before them. I doubt many/any list it as an item on their sites but I'm betting that one or more of them would take on the project.

I'll save you the call to Butch Meyers. I asked him about sword bayonet scabbards this past weekend, and his response was "Let's not discuss it right now." He's working on them, but I don't think they're quite ready.

Another place to try might be Malcolm Addoms at Antique Optics. He does outstanding work reproducing British accoutrements.
