  • CSA Buttons

I've seen a number of references to "CSA" buttons being verboten among reenactors for realistic impressions. Is anyone familiar with any credible research as to how prevelant these buttons were, in which theatres, and which periods?

Come to think of it, how about "Block I" and Federal eagles on confederates?

    Thanks.

Do a search on the forum using "CSA buttons" or similar and likewise for the block I and eagle buttons. This subject has been discussed prior. The search button is located in the top right of the page.

      Ian,

Bless your heart, this topic has been beat to death more than once. I'm going to go ahead and plant a headstone and place some flowers on this thread. As Jim said, use the AC Forum search engine, which is actually a pretty decent tool compared with some fora.

As a totally off topic comment about another history oriented hobby, one of my favorite O. Winston Link photographs was taken in Blue Ridge, Virginia. Used to be a nice place, and I hope it still is.
