    1. 19th Alabama Infantry (Company # undecided as of yet)
    2. Mess
    3. Brisbane/south-east Queensland, Australia
    4. Army of Tennessee circa 1863-1865

We are an Australian progressive re-enactment group who desire to accurately portray the average Confederate infantryman in the American Civil War/War Between the States. Our mission is to continually strive for a more authentic impression, for the betterment and education of ourselves, others in the group and for the general public. By continually progressing and improving ourselves, by drilling, camping and doing shows as often as possible, we hope to learn more about the life of the Confederate soldier. We are based in Brisbane but do events throughout southern Queensland and northern New South Wales, with contacts in fellow Civil War groups throughout Australia.

I'm posting this here because there is a large number of Americans (as well as other nationalities) in Brisbane either working or visiting, who have little idea there are re-enacting outfits here. So if you're planning to fly down here for any reason, please get in touch. If you're heading to other places in Australia please check out the 'links' (bottom of page) tab on the website; hopefully your place of stay will have a group stationed there (I've listed the progressive units). For international visitors we welcome all portrayals.
