    Re: Cavalry Events Calendar

I am officially out for that one now. I had hoped to still pull it off, I have the time off from work. But Linda just got confirmation today she will be working out of town Oct 5-17 as we had suspected. The logistics of my being away for 4 days is just too costly and complicated. Hoped to get the new guy out. See avatar.

Sounds we're shaping up to have an ol' fashioned steeple chase there in Loudon County! There is still room for more if folks want to come, but I feel it is my duty to announce that any new CS registrations require a $75 surcharge!! :tounge_sm Just kidding!

Lester: It will be great to ride with you again! I don't think we've been in the same ranks since McDowell in 2003?!

    To All,
Registrations are starting to come in for the event. I got one from a fellow all the way from Texas for the event. My hats off to all who plan to travel. This should be a great event. Don't miss out and get those registrations coming in.

    Tom,
I can only speak for my guys, but we will be ready in the morning.

    John,

You're too funny! Hopefully all your guys can get up, and saddled (and stay in the saddle) early enough to fight us. I know how tough it can be sleeping up there in cushy Welbourne!

    Jerry,

I think we'll let you get home...after we've tarred and feathered you to serve as an example to all your pards about being a traitor! Your pards Ethan and Dan might not be so lucky! Todd and Sweeney are going to have their hands full for sure.

    Ken,

You most certainly can expect an AAR. Pictures are also available from the previous three years at the 1st Maine website: www.mainecav.org

By all accounts from those that have been there in the past, this is a SUPERB event!! The "cream" of eastern "campaign events". Talk about cavalry heaven (?) how about this AND Bummers? There appears to be several western guys going and "room" in the trailers. With the current drought in good (any) events in the west this year I urge everyone to consider this. Contact any of those that have posted.
Jerry, Todd, Tom can we expect an AAR? Please?

    Thank you!

Now Jerry...don't let the cat out of the bag! Folks are gonna get scared that someone's gonna get killed at this event! Oh wait....

Seriously there is still space if you want to check out the best mounted event this year. We look to have a great turnout for blue and grey, but we could always use more. If you want to come, but need to fly in/don't have a horse, rentals are still available.
