  • 1st Wisconsin Cav Ordnance Reports?

Greetings! I am doing some research on Alf Johnson's Texas Spy Company in preparation for "A Boot of the Right Size" in January; not an EBUFU, but this will be my first full campaigner event and I want to get it right. So why am I asking about Wisconsin Cavalry? Well, a force consisting of Parson's Cavalry and the Spy Company defeated an element of the 1st Wisconsin, capturing many arms and a lot of ammunition in the process, arms that could have then been carried by the Texans at the Battle of Arkansas Post. I've been trying to find ordnance records listing specifics of what the cavalrymen were carrying but thus far have come up empty, other than the 1st Wisconsin were issued some Maynard carbines.

So, has anyone else had any luck finding this info, or could you point me in the right direction of where to find it on my own?

My most sincere thanks and admiration await your answers!
