  • How to present arms with the artillery sabre.

    I have seen some artillerymen after bringing the sabre up on the command of present , instead of bringing it down to the side at the command arms, the simply tilt the blade foward 45 degrees. Which would be correct? any thoughts would be most welcome.
    I've looked in the various manuals, but itt's a trifle hard to understand without any pictures. {Yes, I know}

    Which manuals have you checked? http://www.usregulars.com/IFA/IFA_30...D%20INSPECTION.

    Check this out. It may help you out. From what I understand, it is exactly the same as the salute an infantry captain might do when addressing a general. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, let me know.
