ROSECRANS' PURSUIT - SEPTEMBER, 1863 - OUTSIDE CHICKAMAUGA, GEORGIA - After the Tullahoma Campaign in the Summer of 1863 and before the Battle of Chickamauga in late September, Rosecrans' pursuit of Bragg was of itself its own campaign. In September of 2021, you will have the opportunity to portray this action in real-time.
Three major organizations in the authentic hobby are collaborating to host a very special event. September 10-12, 2021, 40 ROUNDS, THE LIBERTY RIFLES and THE INDEPENDENT RIFLES present ROSECRANS' PURSUIT, a unique, large-scale immersive event for the Authentic Civil War Living Historians, on and near the original ground, nearly to the day on which it occurred. Ivan Ingraham will command the Federal forces and Michael Clarke will command the Confederate forces.
This will be a national-level, mobile, opposing force event, hosted by the groups that produced events such as: the Bentonville 150th; Picket Post; Wauhatchie; Prelude to Invasion; Warlike Along the Rapidan; Silent Machines; Defending the Heartland; The Assault on Fort Blakeley; and Missionary Ridge.
