  • Garfield's Ascent Preservation - Civil War Museum of the Western Theater

We are proud to announce we are partnering with the Civil War Museum of the Western Theater in Bardstown, Ky.

What seems like a small museum tucked away in the Bourbon capital of the world, actually has a huge display and impact. Boasting thousands of quality display items, in this 8500 square foot facility, this museum is a must see for any serious civil war enthusiast.

This museum is a collection of five attractions, along what is called "Museum Row" in Bardstown. It was established in 1996 by Dr. Henry Spalding.

The Civil War museum is the main attraction, but there is also a Pioneer Village, Women of the Civil War Museum, and Hal Moore Military Museum. All are well worth seeing and supporting.

Unfortunately, like many unique places like this Covid-19 has caused hardships. We will be doing our part to help them bounce back.

For those of you who might not know, a big part of our Authentic Campaigner events is to raise funds for places like the Civil War Museum of the Western Theater. A large portion of the money required at registration for an event goes to preservation efforts.

It’s a great feeling to know you’ll get to spend the weekend at Garfield’s Ascent, living the history of the 22nd and 5th Kentucky at Middle Creek. To be immersed in that moment, but also knowing what you gave at registration will be of impact long after the immersive experience of Garfield’s Ascent has passed.

Check out the links and check out the museum for yourself. If you haven’t registered yet, you now have one more reason to not miss this event.

Get registered! Register for Garfield's Ascent!
