    TUNNEL HILL POSTPONED!!
The Tunnel Hill Historical Foundation President has notified us that due to safety concerns and field conditions related to the rain from hurricane Frances, they have decided to postpone the Battle of Tunnel Hill until the weekend of Sept 25 & 26. While regrettable, it is the desire of the Alabama Division, 35th Tn & 28th Al that our reenactors are not placed in jeopardy due to dangerous field conditions. As of Tuesday afternoon, we had already received 5 inches of rain with more rain to follow. Please contact Ken Sumner at 678-296-3337 for any information concerning The Battle of Tunnel Hill.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had thought this might happen, like a couple of years ago.

Although this reenactment is on historic ground, it is not what would be considered an Authentic Event.

However, as a public service to prevent attendees from showing up at a re-sheduled weekend, this thread will remain... and is now closed (the thread, not the event).
