*eyebrows raise* I smell broadswords! Hehe, just kidding of course.

Let me know the specifics of the event when you get a chance Frank, I might be interested in heading out that way if I can get my kit compiled in time.

The specifics will be available to the general public as soon as we get a couple of details ironed out. Without resorting to hype, this one is going to be "out of the box" for most of us.

In general, if you have a decent pre- or early-war civilian kit, you'll be able to meet the guidelines.

Yeah, I'd love to do it, just don't think my pre-war kit is up to par. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help, though (event website, etc.).

          Phil

This sounds like it's going to be a goodin.

That's what this hobby needs is more "out of the box" events.

Keep the info coming and leave the Hype home.

                  Re: Bleeding Kansas Event

The $25 covers food, insurance, and all the basic amenities we have become accustomed to.

And don't forget the wives and Baby Musselmann, too.

                    Re: Bleeding Kansas Event

I will be doing an internship at Ft. Scott in KS this spring, and I am going to be looking for groups to fall in with down that way. Any suggestions or a swift kick in the right direction would be much appreciated. I know Fort Scott is having a Bleeding Kansas related event the weekend before, so hopefully I will have an impression together in time to take part as a Living Historian in both.

                        BK update

For those of you that are interested the deadline for Bleeding Kansas was two days ago only 15 people have registered. I figure there are more interested parties out there but you are procrastinating. If you are interested please register soon. We need to order the foodstuffs and we will need more that 15 people if the town concept and scenarios are to work.

I'll need a day or two to get that. I'm here in St. Louis and Dave and Debbie Bears who take the registration are on the other side of the state.
                            I'm on it though
