Here's a couple of aerial photo's shot recently of Morris Island.

The first, is a shot of Cummings Point, the spit of land at the northern end of Morris Island from which Co. K, 52 PVI embarked for Ft Sumter (and we will too.) Also, FWIW, its the spot where the Citadel cadet battery was sited which drove off the Federal contract steamer "Star of the West" on 9 Jan 1861 as it attempted to resupply and reinforce Ft Sumter.
