You will see listed on the directions the community of Hagewood. At the time of the actual movement of troops through the area in 1864, the community was called Coldwater. It was called that because of the cold water springs nearby. Some moron changed the name in the 1960's! Further west a few miles is Robeline. Near there was the location of White's Store which was burned by Federal troops as they withdrew from Pleasant Hill.

      Dear Fred and Tom,

I see where the Federal camp is on the south and ours is on the north. Would we be marching in a counter-clockwise direction following the Sandstone ATV route by any chance?

      Sincerely and with best regards,

        Pat,

Yep, counterclockwise 'round the Sandstone Loop.

        Kind regards,
        Fred Baker

Dang it all! I take it this means those of us from extreme northern climes need not bring our trusty skates or ice fishing tackle. What a shame this is, because the sassy Yellow Perch ought to be fully awake about now....

See you in about a week and a half.
