  • A Thought...

Do you enjoy "better events"? Do you live in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic (or even Midwest)? Are you aware of a lot of "authentic" Eastern events in the autumn of 2007 or, for that matter, even in the first half of 2008?

Don't let the opportunity pass by without taking advantage of it. Registration for "After the Battle" is open. Get registered.

Ditto what Kevin said. On the CS side of the ball, Jerry Stiles is the commander and I will command one of two planned CS companies. We are Co's B and F of the 21st Virginia, who were on picket Dec 14 in a rather lively environment punctuated by the well documented truce that occurred to remove the dead and wounded of both sides.

I have seen this ground and 207 acres in a big square is a huge plot, and is the single greatest acquisition of core battlefield land ever. Over 5000 men fell in this portion of the field and it is where Fredericksburg hung in the balance.

Come help us celebrate the saving of this hallowed ground. High standards, good program (fidelity to what was really going on that day), great weather in late October, and of course more CW history close by then you can shake a stick at. So whether you want to be from Joisey or ole Virginny, come on out.
