Hey Fellas,
We will be employing a bugler at the event next weekend and he'll be playing all the calls in camp, on the march and during the engagement. Below is a web site where you can bone up on your knowledge of bugle calls. Pay particular attention to the skirmish calls. In laying odds on whether Jerry or Grumpy will be able to talk come noon Sunday, the Vegas odds are on Jerry still having his voice. In addition to the normal, usual, general skirmish bugle calls, pay attention to "left" and "right" and "fixing" and "unfixing" bayonets. At various times, this may prove useful to keep from swimming in the deep water or just trying to avoid being over run by swift, sure footed, amphibious, flat-tailed "swamp cavalry." The NCOs superintending the skirmish line certainly have their work cut out for them.

The Bayou Yeti has not been spotted, but we have it on good account some of his cousins visit from time to time.
