  • Rental Horses

I wanted to see how much interest there would be in people renting horses that are calm and gun broke. The minimum I would need to rent would probably be 6 and the max would be 10. Please let me know if you would have any interest in this.

    Thanks,

    Chris Talburt

There may be a couple of us in the far West who are willing and able to do Cav if horses are available.

So, you think that scrap in the East is rough, do you?

      Re: Rental Horses

I am planning on attending so far but that is still a ways out. I would be interested in a horse rental if I go. Please add me to that list.
What unit would we be portraying? and what accoutraments and tack is going to be acceptable? I am one of the interested parties that Troy mentioned.

        Andy:

I would direct you to the event website for the guidlines etc. http://campjacksonboy.googlepages.com/c.s.guidelines
We will still be portraying the 21st Texas, just on horses.

        Thanks,

            Troy:

Dan Chmelar is the Federal contact. I will have to get back with you on splitting the horses up. I don't think that it would be a problem. I will know more after this weekend.
As a side note, I will have a lot less tack than horses.

            Thanks,

            Chris Talburt

              Re: Rental Horses

Chris I have enough tack for two horses. I have a 59 McClellan and a Texas/ Ranger saddle both from Doug Kidd + head stalls and bits so I would be happy to loan extra out.

Chris it looks more like I will be attending, so please put me down for a mount. As it gets closer I will be in contact more. As far as the extra tack just let me know. I will also contact the Federal element regarding federal regulations.
                Thank you

                  Chris,
Are there any more horses available for rental for the event?

                      Chris,
Two of us guys from 1st Maine are mulling it over.
Lots of details to iron out, rental mount and how to get our tack and weapons out to the event and back.
Let me know what you can work out please.

                        All

As of right it is not looking good for rental horses. He wants a minimum of 6 at $200 per mount for the weekend. He would need a deposit of $50 that is nonrefundable to bring the horse out. I am looking at another source and will let you know.

                        Thanks,

                        Chris Talburt
