  • 4th Arkansas, A message from your Orderly

    Gents of the 4th Arkansas.

A few things I'd like to say about the upcoming trek with Gen'l Van Dorn to push Curtis' Blue Bellied Dutchmen out of Arkansas and hopefully out of Missouri.

~ Be ready to march. As in be ready to walk. Make sure your shoes are in good condition.

~ Have some extra socks. As in more than one. It will probably be a little "cool" in the evening time so I don't want my guys getting chilly feet.

~ Speaking of it being "cool" out there, boys make sure you get those nice warm shirts from home.

~ Bring a good attitude and willingness to share an interesting experience with some of the best group of gents out there.

~ And finally... Drink water and be full of acqua goodness. All dehydration cases will be turned over to the commisary so we can render you down into sausage to feed the MSG ruffians.

Be safe getting there and hopefully Gen'l Van Dorn can keep his pants on long enough to lead us to victory!

      "...And to Missouri we
      Extend both heart and hand
      And welcome her a sister
      Of our Confederate band
      Tho surrounded by oppression
      No one dare deter
Her adding to our Bonnie Blue Flag
Her bright and twelfth star! "
